Who is happy that spring is here? I know I sure am! I'm excited for the fact that the weather is getting warmer and there have been more opportunities to get outside and play with the kids. I have a few things to talk about today.

Height: 5' 0"
Starting weight: 215 lbs.
Current weight: 196 lbs.
Goal weight: 170 lbs.

170 is my goal weight for right now because that was the weight I was before I had kids. All that time I thought that "I was fat" then. YEAH RIGHT!!!! I don't know what I was thinking until I was heavier than that. I'm inching closer to that weight. If I lose past 170, I won't complain a bit.

So I'm trying to work on my favorite recipes, pictures and all to add to the

<![CDATA[It's been a minute.........]]>Sat, 12 Mar 2022 13:06:13 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/its-been-a-minuteI know it's been awhile since I've posted but I'm still doing my keto thing. :)

New recipe under the snacks tab: Fat bombs

Starting weight: 215
Current weight: 199

It's official I am below the 200 pound mark! I have noticed that I have the most success when I prioritize my fat intake and make sure I get my 13 cups a day of hydration as well as at least an hour of Audio Trip and/or Beat Saber on the Oculus every day.

I haven't been in the habit of exercising here lately. I had a nasty flu bug hit me and it had me down for about a week. Now I gotta work my way back up on Audio Trip cause I was slaying "Gangnam Style" on cardio mode and I failed miserably the other night but I still got at least 30 minutes before I was exhausted.

I got Audio Trip for my oldest (who is the headset owner btw) so we could add new songs from the Discord channels database of songs. Trust me, its easier that way than adding from a secondary account on the Oculus. I swear by this game cause one evening my heart rate was up to 170 (Fitbit told me that was my peak heart rate and I felt so freaking good about that!) This game makes you sweat and you have fun all at the same time.

I'm also gonna try the boxing app Xavier got, it was making him sweat and he wasn't on it that long either. Anything to keep things fresh! :) That's the thing with Audio Trip, you HAVE to add the songs from Discord, otherwise you get bored quickly once you master the songs.

I have been busy these past few weeks, which is why I haven't been on here or on my Instagram account

<![CDATA[Motivation is still rolling and I'm going strong!]]>Sun, 16 Jan 2022 19:59:54 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/motivation-is-still-rolling-and-im-going-strong]]><![CDATA[Momentum Accelerating!]]>Sun, 09 Jan 2022 17:07:16 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/momentum-acceleratingGood Sunday everyone! It's a rainy day here in WV and a good day to stay in and do Beat Saber :) I weighed myself this morning and I started at 215 the beginning of the year, now I'm down to 212 lbs. I know, I know... its water weight but when you think about people with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) they have extra fluid in their body so this extra water weight I don't have to lug around is a plus, not just for my health but my heart, lungs, and body too.

I notice I've been peeing a lot more between being inspired to drink more water and the beginnings of ketosis. So far I haven't had the "keto flu" yet but I recently bought a multivitamin as well as refueling my electrolytes as much as I can so I don't get the "flu". *Knock on wood* that it don't happen. So I'm excited to see the scale budge, and I know I'm doing something right for a change. :)

I created a new page to organize all the things I have discovered and I'm liking here lately that's helping me called "My Faves & Craves". It will be focusing on my favorite stuff that is helping me such as Avocado slices sprinkled with Everything but the bagel seasoning to my favorite workouts, fave snacks, resources, etc. It's a work in progress I will be adding to it as time goes on.
<![CDATA[I AM SO INSPIRED!!!!]]>Sat, 08 Jan 2022 13:35:50 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/i-am-so-inspiredHey guys! I know I haven't been on here for awhile BUT I've had time to get past the holidays and get settled into the new year. Hello 2022! :) Hope you are nice to us compared to 2020 and 2021, I have faith.

Anyway, I have had a few awesome and new developments.

1. Acquired a Fitbit watch: I got a couple for my kids for Christmas and once I saw how neat these things were, so... I went ahead and got me one too! I mean, heck! I hardly buy stuff for myself, I'd rather buy for my kids. First and foremost, their happiness is what fuels my happiness. I got ahold of the Fitbit Versa 2 and it is so neat and its my first smartwatch. It shows how many calories you burned, hours you slept, what your heartrate is and when you hit cardio or fat burning mode and saves your stats for you to see and keep track of. Which leads me to the next thing

2. Kids got an Oculus Quest 2 for Christmas: Yes, my kids made out like bandits Christmas of 2021. So one day, I got to try it out and let me tell ya, it's like you are there in person it feels so realistic. VR has come a long way since it's beginnings. So I broke down and got Beat Saber! It is so much fun! If you enjoy what you're doing you are more likely to stick with it and I didn't know I exercised for an hour last night after my little man, Ezekiel went to sleep. I burned almost 500 calories just slashing cubes to the beat of music. Talk about some major inspirations here!

3. Starting a Low Carb Diet: So before the New Year, I was helping my Mom clean up stuff around the house. We came across the Atkins Book, so in my spare time I started reading it. The science behind low carb and why our nation is dealing with obesity is because of CARBS! So we have to change our habits if we want to get healthy because the habits we have now have made us as a nation unhealthy. The pandemic didn't help either.

Anyway! It's simple science & math lol. Lets pretend your body is a bank account and you have a balance of $100 in carbs stored in your body. If you stop eating carbs and start eating moderate protein and high fat foods you don't "deposit" money into your account. Exercise and staying active and so it is "spending money". When you don't have any carbs in your body, it turns to fat for fuel which equals what? WEIGHT LOSS!!!

I mean, I know breaking habits is hard and it takes a few weeks or so, but it's kind of a no-brainer. You don't starve, you can eat as much protein and healthy low carb veggies and healthy high fat foods until you are satisfied. No deprivation, science gets involved and your appetite becomes suppressed because your body is burning fat that is stored so therefore why get hungry when your body is burning the thing it stored on you in times like these? Use science to your advantage!

And with the slew of info out there these days about low carb recipes there's no way you can get bored. NO WAY! I'm hooked on chaffles with bacon pieces and a slather of smashed up avocado and everything but the bagel seasoning on it. Big time yum and big time appetite crusher, I wasn't hungry the whole day on just a couple chaffles and 'cado. Great way to get into the glory zone: ketosis. Yes yes y'all ketosis baby!!!

I'm gonna start getting brave and posting a starting pic of me and maybe try to do some videos to put on here. Who inspired me to do that? Dhar Mann. Check him out on YouTube. I recommend it.

Stay safe y'all and happy trails!
<![CDATA[Straight up aggravation!!!]]>Fri, 03 Dec 2021 11:35:51 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/straight-up-aggravation Ok so I am the worlds worst at following any diet plan at all!!! I tried to follow the diet on the app the other week and I didn't even do it. I feel like a horrible inspiration, or am I just being human? It's hard I think because of the holidays and everything else in between that. I am legit busy, here's a snapshot: I am helping take care of my elderly mom (she needs help bathing, fixing her food and drinks, going to the bathroom, walking with assistance of one, I'm basically a homemaker and still a CNA), clean her house, do dishes, cook, laundry, do the grocery shopping, pick up medicine, homeschooling 2 awesome kids, and chasing around an adorable 2 year old son.

So that's where I stand, its far from an excuse as to why I don't exercise, you would think I would be getting exercise chasing my son around. I do, and I average about 1000 or so steps. I stay constantly busy but with the holidays......yeah you know what I mean. It's next to impossible to do. I need a little help, a little boost, or maybe some encouragement from the outside world here.

Yeah, I haven't gotten myself out there on social media yet. The courage in me is low, but what do I have to lose anyway for doing that? Not a whole lot. Maybe if I do some body strengthening exercises while I'm watching tv that might help, since I've started working from home I noticed a huge difference in my body strength. Not good. Or I could set an alarm on my phone to take time out and do some planks, burpees, etc. on that app. I mean 15 minutes or so worth of exercise....I can handle that. It's just getting into the habit and watching what I eat.

A big part of me says to wait until after the holidays to even attempt to diet because my mom wants me to help make cookies, candy, and all that yum stuff to give out as presents for Christmas which is always fun making. My cousin wants me to cater some food for our local 911 emergency call center and for our local first responders who I respect completely. Not only that, they have helped my family a lot this year alone, not just mine but many, many others as well. This is where I'm itching to make my famous cinnamon rolls for them too, heck why not.

So yeah, that's where I stand. I'm gonna keep trying though, change is one day at a time. Little changes here and there add up to a big difference in time. Just cause I can't stick to something I'm not giving up. When I lost weight the last time, to be honest I started cutting back on carbs and not eating as much and my job was physical as well as strength building as well so it was kinda effortless on my part. Like my cousin's hubby said I need weights and stuff to use so I get some sort of workouts in, be it strength training or whatever. He's muscular yet slim so yeah, he knows what he's talking about.
<![CDATA[Sometimes you need a plan.....]]>Tue, 16 Nov 2021 02:13:22 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/sometimes-you-need-a-plan Being that I'm at home, its a challenge to not eat all the time. Snacking, meals, taste testing, repeat. Staying inside and no treadmill or equipment means no exercise. All this was what I was faced with in the past when I was a stay at home mom. History tends to repeat itself, and oh boy it sure is!! I gotta fix that ASAP cause I've already gained 12 lbs. since I've started working from home August 2021.

So here's where I have to think constructively. Where there's a problem, there has to be a solution to fix it. As you all know, my inspiration for this blog is to lose weight, and to help/inspire others to do the same. Here's what I plan on doing:
Lose Weight in 30 Days App Screen
This is what the app screen looks like.
I stumbled upon this app called "Lose Weight in 30 Days" by Simple Designs Ltd. I read the reviews and people have said they've lost weight by following the instructions, day by day. It tells you what to eat and what exercises you can do. It's free and you can also buy the premium plan which isn't a whole whole lot ($40 is all and I think that's it). Major plus: there's little to no equipment needed, just yourself in some comfy workout clothes.

Day 1 Exercises
Sample of exercises for Day 1

Lose Weight in 30 Days Meal Plan
And here's a sample of the meal plan for Day 1.

My plan is I'm gonna be the guinea pig here and see if this app really does help you lose weight. I mean looking at the meals, snacks, the exercises.....it all looks legit and sustainable. Sustainable is critical here. From looking at the meal plan its balanced and with snacks cause who likes feeling hungry anyway? Also another plus is the exercises are guided by the voice prompts and timer to help you go from one exercise to the next and if you're not sure about how to do an exercise or how to have the correct form, they have videos to watch for reference. The workouts are also short as well (HIIT) and they have a library full of exercises for beginner to expert, depending on your fitness level.

Another plus is the meal plans, when followed correctly, looks like it will teach portion control to maintain the weight lost. Plus I believe it will also teach my body and mind what to eat, how to cook it, and which to eat in moderation (like for example 1 cookie....and leave them. That's all, not like before when moderation wasn't being practiced. In other words, half the darn pack in one sitting!) to where it will become second nature to me.

So...being that I self-nominated to be guinea pig, I'll keep track of and make note each day here on how I feel, how it went, anything and everything to enlighten all you readers out there. Wish me luck!

*Bonus points: Breakfast tomorrow is oatmeal and I already have my overnight oats in the fridge for in the morning!*

My Stats:

Starting Weight: 212 lbs
Goal Weight: 170 lbs
Height: 5' 0"
36 years old
<![CDATA[My Update for this Week]]>Wed, 10 Nov 2021 10:24:50 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/my-update-for-this-weekOk so I've gotten out of the habit of taking my Obvi supplements, mainly because I introduced glucomannan 3x daily to see how my body reacts to it. I found it at my local Wal-Mart, they had their brand of Lipozene on sale for $11 which isn't bad. I can say, legit it does make me eat less which equals less calorie intake. Another plus to taking it 3x daily, I drink a very tall glass of water with that stuff because the warning on the label is to drink lots of water when taking the supplement to make sure it goes to work in your stomach and not your esophagus and the general beginning of your digestive system.

So I get at least 6 cups in a day and I've noticed I've been leaning towards drinking more water because of it. Like something inside me is saying it's your destiny .....haha! But no really, its that voice that steers us in the right directions. You know it when it echoes in your mind. Follow it, as you listen it gets stronger, and helps you.

Looking back when I lost weight in 2014, I recall hearing that voice on the daily, I chalk it up to God. That little voice is whoever you believe it is. I don't hate on other religions because my oldest is following the Wiccan path and I'm okay with that because to each their own and that's what makes all of us unique and unique = awesome. :) Plus I know that Wicca does teach responsibility and accountability when followed correctly and a real Christian loves others (at least tries to, being that we are human we aren't perfect and that's perfectly okay!) and accepts others and doesn't judge them but religion is a topic for another day, another story.

So I'm gonna start back with my supplements, they do help I've noticed the Detox makes me feel lighter and fair warning it does help you poop (plus aunt flo is going bye bye which also plays a factor), the Carb Blocker also does curb my appetite (which also has a bit of glucomannan in it), and the Collagen Burn gives me more energy on top of all the coffee I've been drinking (I'm a coffee lover btw!) I just use creamer, I don't do sugar and all that extra fluff I wanna taste my coffee, not the other stuff. The Carb Blocker is coming in handy this time of year cause the baking, cooking, and the holidays are upon us and that means good treats and good eats and possible weight gain. What I am up for doing is eating the goodies in moderation and early on in the day that way I got the whole day to burn them off.

So enough of my rambling, my next thing I would like to do is post a picture of me and my stats to give myself a beginning point (which I am DREADING!!) I don't feel confident in my own skin anymore, I feel like I'm "letting myself go" and I don't like that. The numbers don't bother me its how I look and feel that makes it and breaks it. This isn't where I want to be in regards to my health and appearance. My husband thinks I'm sexy and that's awesome (pudge and all) but I don't feel it like I used to. Therefore, I'm trying to change my lifestyle habits around so I lose weight healthily and safely.

Ok y'all, stay tuned for the next blog post to see what's up! <3 ]]>
<![CDATA[Great basic information and supplement]]>Wed, 03 Nov 2021 01:37:01 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/great-basic-information-and-supplement5 Simple Rules for Amazing Health Article from Healthline.com
I just read this article and to sum it all up, it all makes sense and is easy advice to follow. Now the hardest part is sticking to it. Again, adopting healthier habits pops up in my blog posts because like they said at the end of the post: "For this reason, it’s critical to aim for a lifestyle change. Being healthy is a marathon, not a sprint. It takes time and you need to stick with it for life."

Here's the 5 tips they provided:
1. Do not put bad things in your body
2. Build muscle and exercise
3. Get good sleep
4. Avoid unnecessary stress
5. Feed your body whole, clean foods

I was doing research on this supplement called Glucomannan. It is supposed to keep you full and satiated for longer because it absorbs 50x its weight in water. Glucomannan is natural because it comes from the Konjac root and in supplement form, for weight loss, 1 pill 3x daily 15 minutes to an hour before meals with 1-2 glasses of water in order to be most effective. The point of this supplement is to create extra bulk in your stomach so that you feel full quicker and satiated, therefore consuming less calories.

But like the article also says, even though you have a supplement to help you eat less, you still need to eat healthier. Otherwise, what's the point?! In order to be healthy, eat healthy. What I have learned about where I lost weight in the past 80% is your diet and 20% is exercise/strength training. When I look back, I believe that statement is nothing but the truth.

<![CDATA[The latest habit I am re-introducing myself to.......]]>Tue, 26 Oct 2021 04:21:55 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/the-latest-habit-i-am-re-introducing-myself-toDrinking more water!!!

can't tell ya how many websites I've read that in order to lose weight you need to adopt healthier habits aaaaand drink more water. Eliminate sugary stuff, and replace it with water. I don't doubt it because when I lost weight the last time I drank more water and less soda, sugar in coffee, etc. It did work, and here lately I've been trying to down more H20 as a new, good habit to adopt again.

So to help me further, I downloaded an app called Water Cat. It's a cute, round cat that loves water! Total opposite of the cats on our planet!!! It's free in the Google Play store, I don't see it available for iPhone owners, but this ain't the only app in the world that helps you drink more water. I just like it cause the little, chubby, blue cat meows when its time for you to drink.

Here's the link: https://rb.gy/nbjgah

Here's a brief snippet of what the app description says on the Play Store link above:

Drinking water is a good habit! And adorable Watercat will help you build this healthy habit easily!

70% of the human body is made up of water.
It would be hard to overestimate the importance of water: water transports nutrients and flushes out toxins, increases metabolism and helps lose weight, boosts energy and performance, has positive impact on skin health and makes you look younger, makes you feel good and cheerful - the list can go on and on.

However sometimes in the bustle of everyday life we do not pay attention to thirst or even confuse thirst and hunger. How to maintain water balance?
Here comes Watercat: drink reminder, water tracker & balance.

Watercat is a cute, beautiful and easy-to-use app which includes all the features you need to build a healthy habit of drinking enough water.

Watercat will become your perfect assistant that will send you notifications to make sure you didn’t forget to drink water and will compliment you on each glass! You will effortlessly drink more water and in no time you will be amazed of beneficial effects over your body, health and appearance.

So there you have it folks!! If you own an Android, give this app a try! I like the app and I've noticed a difference in how I feel when I get hydrated (pssst: its a good difference!!)

I know it can be hard to just switch over to water, but it takes your taste buds time to adjust. Once you do, drinking water will be like 2nd nature. Let's appreciate what God originally created for us to drink.
<![CDATA[First post hurrah and a product I'm loving!]]>Fri, 22 Oct 2021 02:55:12 GMThttp://dissipatetheweight.com/blog/first-post-hurrah-and-a-product-im-lovingOk y'all! First blog post!!! Hooray me! lol
Anyway I was told by one of the gals where I was working at about a product she loves. It's called Obvi. They have a very colorful branding, which I like. She told me to try the collagen burn. It's ok so far, I need to keep taking it whether or not I see results. I felt more pepped up and it seemed to help my hair and skin but I just got out of the habit of taking it.

So on with what I like, its the guilt free carb blocker, its supposed to suppress your appetite and make you feel full quicker and day 1 I noticed a difference!!! I also bought the detox supplement to see how it works, I like the supplements color and smell....weird I know but it smells like roasted seaweed snack which is yum btw.

You take 4 of the carb blockers in the morning with food and it lasts me all day. They say one habit in weight loss is to eat less and watch what you eat. It seems to also help my sugar cravings cause I kinda get a ick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I think of stuff like ice cream and whatnot.

Ok so weight loss tip for all of us: Eat less and be mindful of what you eat.

I've lost weight in the past and research is true its 80% what you eat and 20% exercise which is good for people like me who hates anything else but walking. So I am trying to tune myself into that point in time where I lost weight and it was effortless, but I look back and I think why was that......well I became a CNA and I spent more time after that being physically active (walking, pushing wheelchairs, giving showers, etc.), eating less (cause I had less time on my hands to eat), and now I'm working from home and its a total game changer.

So now I'm looking into one of those Total Gym sets that give you a full body workout and strength training from home and maybe a treadmill so I can walk and watch TV all at the same time. I miss seeing 6000+ steps on my phone every day like I used to do.

To all readers, what do you think? Let me know. :)
