I just read this article and to sum it all up, it all makes sense and is easy advice to follow. Now the hardest part is sticking to it. Again, adopting healthier habits pops up in my blog posts because like they said at the end of the post: "For this reason, it’s critical to aim for a lifestyle change. Being healthy is a marathon, not a sprint. It takes time and you need to stick with it for life." Here's the 5 tips they provided: 1. Do not put bad things in your body 2. Build muscle and exercise 3. Get good sleep 4. Avoid unnecessary stress 5. Feed your body whole, clean foods I was doing research on this supplement called Glucomannan. It is supposed to keep you full and satiated for longer because it absorbs 50x its weight in water. Glucomannan is natural because it comes from the Konjac root and in supplement form, for weight loss, 1 pill 3x daily 15 minutes to an hour before meals with 1-2 glasses of water in order to be most effective. The point of this supplement is to create extra bulk in your stomach so that you feel full quicker and satiated, therefore consuming less calories. But like the article also says, even though you have a supplement to help you eat less, you still need to eat healthier. Otherwise, what's the point?! In order to be healthy, eat healthy. What I have learned about where I lost weight in the past 80% is your diet and 20% is exercise/strength training. When I look back, I believe that statement is nothing but the truth.
