Sometimes you need a plan.....

Being that I'm at home, its a challenge to not eat all the time. Snacking, meals, taste testing, repeat. Staying inside and no treadmill or equipment means no exercise. All this was what I was faced with in the past when I was a stay at home mom. History tends to repeat itself, and oh boy it sure is!! I gotta fix that ASAP cause I've already gained 12 lbs. since I've started working from home August 2021.

So here's where I have to think constructively. Where there's a problem, there has to be a solution to fix it. As you all know, my inspiration for this blog is to lose weight, and to help/inspire others to do the same. Here's what I plan on doing:
Lose Weight in 30 Days App Screen
This is what the app screen looks like.
I stumbled upon this app called "Lose Weight in 30 Days" by Simple Designs Ltd. I read the reviews and people have said they've lost weight by following the instructions, day by day. It tells you what to eat and what exercises you can do. It's free and you can also buy the premium plan which isn't a whole whole lot ($40 is all and I think that's it). Major plus: there's little to no equipment needed, just yourself in some comfy workout clothes.

Lose Weight in 30 Days Meal Plan
And here's a sample of the meal plan for Day 1.

My plan is I'm gonna be the guinea pig here and see if this app really does help you lose weight. I mean looking at the meals, snacks, the exercises.....it all looks legit and sustainable. Sustainable is critical here. From looking at the meal plan its balanced and with snacks cause who likes feeling hungry anyway? Also another plus is the exercises are guided by the voice prompts and timer to help you go from one exercise to the next and if you're not sure about how to do an exercise or how to have the correct form, they have videos to watch for reference. The workouts are also short as well (HIIT) and they have a library full of exercises for beginner to expert, depending on your fitness level.

Another plus is the meal plans, when followed correctly, looks like it will teach portion control to maintain the weight lost. Plus I believe it will also teach my body and mind what to eat, how to cook it, and which to eat in moderation (like for example 1 cookie....and leave them. That's all, not like before when moderation wasn't being practiced. In other words, half the darn pack in one sitting!) to where it will become second nature to me.

So...being that I self-nominated to be guinea pig, I'll keep track of and make note each day here on how I feel, how it went, anything and everything to enlighten all you readers out there. Wish me luck!

*Bonus points: Breakfast tomorrow is oatmeal and I already have my overnight oats in the fridge for in the morning!*
